Ohio Dominican University is Central
Ohio's Catholic university. Founded in 1911 in the Catholic Dominican
tradition, ODU is committed to developing the whole person. ODU's in-demand
majors, graduate programs and an outstanding liberal arts foundation prepare
students to succeed in today's ever-changing global marketplace. At ODU,
students connect their passion with a purpose.
In-Demand Majors and Graduate Programs
At Ohio Dominican, students can
choose to study one of 40 majors and nine master's programs - each designed to prepare one for a
career in a rapidly expanding field, such as education, science, government,
business, technology and health care. Ohio Dominican has a degree that matches
any student's passion.
Approximately 88 percent of ODU's
classes have fewer than 30 students, so students have an opportunity to develop
close relationships with their professors that last long after graduation.
ODU's 75-acre tree-lined campus is conveniently located just minutes from the
heart of downtown Columbus, giving students easy access to internships and
other opportunities to gain hands-on experience. ODU's outstanding Honors Program is designed for high-achieving students
who seek to engage in independent scholarly, scientific and artistic endeavors.
Ohio Dominican also offers a variety of degrees in convenient
evening and online formats, making it possible for working adults to complete
their degree around their busy schedules.
Pre-Professional and Early Acceptance
Programs
Interested in pursuing pre-professional programs?
Ohio Dominican has a wide range of options, including Pre-Health Professional,
Pre-Law, and Pre-Nursing.
ODU also has partnered with the Ohio
University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine to offer the Med School Early
Assurance Program. This program gives high-achieving high school
students an opportunity to be automatically accepted into med school upon the
completion of their undergraduate requirements at ODU. Students in the program
do not need to take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) and can earn both
their bachelor's degree and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in as few as seven
years. ODU also offers an early acceptance program into its Physician Assistant
Studies master's program.
Financial Aid
Approximately 99 percent of
first-time freshmen at Ohio Dominican receive some type of financial assistance. When considering the actual
out-of-pocket expense, the cost to attend ODU for many students compares
favorably with some public universities in the region. ODU also awards generous Merit Scholarships to students based on a holistic
review. These scholarships are renewable each year, and include scholarships
that cover the total cost of tuition. There are also work-study opportunities for those who qualify.

academic experience.
Ohio Dominican is home to dozens of student organizations,
including service organizations, music groups, religious clubs and honorary

clubs give students an opportunity to develop leadership skills, meet lifelong
friends, and make a real difference on campus and in the community.
ODU is the only NCAA Division II athletic
